    Year of Mercy Art Show

I was inspired by The Ripple Effect to hold an art show on the topics of mercy & justice.

The Year of Mercy art show on the theme of mercy & the persecuted church will be at the Christ Cathedral Arts Center in Garden Grove in 2016

You can see the paintings here:

“He executes justice for the oppressed; he gives food to the hungry. The Lord sets the prisoners free; the Lord opens the eyes of the blind. The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down; the Lord loves the righteous. The Lord watches over the sojourners, he upholds the widow and the fatherless; but the way of the wicked he brings to ruin” (Ps 146:7-9)

    Class Assignment

I am a teacher at a small Christian school, and when I saw, I knew it would be the perfect assignment for my class. I am going to have them each draw a picture for the three injured children in the Central African Republic: and we will send the pictures to Open Doors to be delivered. I will write a letter from the entire class that will be sent with the pictures. I love that I can teach my kids about Christian persecution, AND have them do something to encourage Christian children just like them in another country.

    30-weeks of prayer

I turned the 30-day prayer challenge into "30-weeks of prayer" for my church. Each week I take the content from one of the 30 countries on and print it on an insert that goes in our Sunday morning bulletin handout at church. When I told my pastor about the idea he immediately said yes, and the response has been great. We are three weeks in, and several people have told me they are using it to pray for our persecuted brothers and sisters every week.

    The Insanity of God

I posted the trailer to The Insanity of God to my friends on Facebook, and I am trying to get enough interest to bring the film to my town.

I started a social justice ministry at my church.

I started a social justice ministry at my church. We are reading “God’s Smuggler” by Brother Andrew, and we are praying God will open our eyes to what we should do next.
