“I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.” —Saint Mother Teresa
We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man’s gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully. —Romans 12:6-8
What is important here is to note that we are all in this together. Just as each part of our own body contributes to the whole person, so too do the talents and abilities of each of us making our own unique contributions to the well being of each other. This is the picture of the Body of Christ in perfect harmony. We pick each other up through prayer, support, care and other means that have been entrusted to each of us.
That’s exactly what The Ripple Effect series is all about. It’s about each of us expressing and exercising our uniqueness in whatever way we feel compelled. If we respond as a result of guilt or obligation we are selling ourselves short. The richest part of this series is to find or rekindle the unique way that each of us are wired so that we might experience the true fulfillment of seeing our own one-of-a-kind fingerprint on a much larger canvas.
There are no boundaries with this series. We encourage you to express your own ideas and suggestions about Christian persecution.
